Opening Times and Facilities
We're closed until further notice
Because of Coronavirus (COVID-19), we're closed until further notice. We look forward to welcoming you back when we can in the future.
Until then, you can see Scotland's built heritage up close at many of the other places in Historic Environment Scotland's care.Explore historic places
You’ll be spoiled for choice by our café menu, featuring toasted deli sandwiches, soups, cakes and more.
You can also buy coffee, tea and cold drinks, to sit in or to take away.
We don't stock single use disposable cups or soup containers. If you're looking for a takeaway soup or drink please help us reduce waste and protect the environment by bringing your own reusable.
By bringing your own reusable cup, you'll get a 25p discount on all hot drinks from our café.
A range of gifts designed exclusively for the Engine Shed are available to buy in our shop. You can also purchase copies of our publications.
Visitors will have free access to our public Wi-Fi network, making it easy to stay connected while at the Engine Shed.
Group rest space
Our indoor lunch area can accommodate up to 35 people. You can ask to book the group rest space when booking a group visit.
