Event Description

Make a Christmas decoration inspired by traditional building materials like wood and metal or choose a wooden tool to decorate in festive colours.

Metal casting was traditionally used for everything from small, decorative elements on buildings, to immense structures like our cast iron ceiling on display at the Engine Shed. See how it was done for yourself, and make your own metal cast decoration.

If metal isn't your thing, you can make a decoration using a wooden traditional tool instead. The right tools are an important part of any traditional trade. Find out what the tools are used for and decorate your very own in festive colours. Can you spot your tool hidden in the Engine Shed?
