Join us for stone day - the very first day our new Master Builders programme. Families can get hands on with the skills used to conserve Scotland's traditional buildings.
Stone is one of Scotland's most used building materials, and can be found everywhere in our built environment.
Discover the traditional skill of stonemasonry and dry stone dyking. Meet stonemasons and learn how they look after Scotland's traditional buildings and keep these important skills alive today.
Then take the chance to try it for yourself as you learn how to carve a piece of limestone, or build a dry stone dyke. Do you have what it takes to be a stonemason?
Don't forget to pick up your Master Builder Log Book and collect a stamp each time you visit to become a Master Builder!
Master Builders take place on the fourth Saturday of the month (term time only).
