Event Description

As part of Heritage Careers Week, join us for a series of hands-on workshops with experts from the Engine Shed and some of our sector partners. We will showcase traditional building materials and skills, and some of the innovative techniques used within the Heritage Sector.

Workshops will be delivered by a range of experts, from senior practitioners to current trainees and apprentices. Over the course of the day, you will participate in 6 taster workshops giving you the opportunity to try each of these crafts and skills, engage with experts, and develop your knowledge.

Learning outcomes

You will:

  • be introduced to the work of the Engine Shed and some of our key partners in linked sectors
  • gain awareness of some of the key skills used and/or to develop if interested in working in, or advancing your career in, the Heritage Sector
  • understand how each skill is used within the sector and why they are all important
  • increase your knowledge of career pathways and how the heritage, construction and creative industries sectors are linked
