Event Description

This one-day seminar will explore recent thinking around approaches to managing the loss and decay of heritage assets. The heritage sector today faces a number of significant and diverse challenges including the effects of reduced budgets and the increasing impact of climate change.

Visitor numbers are higher than ever, yet this can put additional pressures on what is sometimes a fragile resource.

This event provides a platform to reflect on the meaning and values of heritage, and how we might manage the increasing number of assets in increasingly difficult circumstances.

The day will comprise of a series of lectures from leading thinkers in the field, including academics and heritage practitioners, and is intended to promote the discussion of one of the key topics of our time.
