Refurbishment Case Study 32

Cruck Cottage, Torthorwald

This Case Study describes work to a small vernacular building in Torthorwald, Dumfries and Galloway, built of stone, clay and thatch. It is managed by a community association as a museum of traditional life.

Our case study explains the conservation work undertaken following a fire at the building and explains the factors considered in its repair.
