Refurbishment Case Study 15
Callendar House Stable Block - Interim repairs to roof, rainwater goods and associated elements
This case study describes a suite of interim repairs made to an early 19th century stable block in Falkirk. The second in the series to examine the implementation of temporary or emergency repairs, these modest works secured the immediate future of the previously exposed building by making it wind and water tight. Through the re-instatement of rainwater goods, repairing a decayed section of roofing and the securing of openings, further decay was minimised allowing a more substantial program of works to be implemented at a later date.
